Although I live in Naperville, Illinois, I typically meet my clients for our Initial Consultation at Soho House, which is located in the West Loop neighborhood of downtown Chicago. Here we’ll order a drink, pour through stationery designs, and just have fun playing with paper, envelopes, and ribbons… oh my!

Using the selections you’ve made during our Initial Consultation, I’ll curate a custom Mood Board, Proposal and Swatch Box for you. The Mood Board is a digital representation of the design direction for your invitations. The Proposal is a line-by-line quote outlining the specifics of your design choices (paper type, printing method, ink colors, envelope selections, wax seal ideas, etc.) The Swatch Box is a physical sampling of those paper and ribbon selections that you’ve made which will then be mailed directly to you.

When you’re happy with your Mood Board, Proposal and Swatch box and are ready to jump into the formal design process, that’s when we’ll move forward with a signed Design Contract and Initial 50% Deposit. After receiving your Contract + Deposit, your first round of designs will be sent to you within 10 business days. Three complimentary rounds of design edits are included in your design plan.

When editing is complete and you are 100% IN LOVE with your final designs, that is when we will move your designs into production! Any remaining invoice balances will be due at the time of production. The entire Production Phase (from ordering your raw materials to assembling your printed suites) may take up to 6 weeks.

Alas! The best part of the whole process – getting to send these beauties on their way to your special wedding guests! All Bluebird clients have two options to choose from when it comes to delivery.

Option #1: Let me Stamp, Stuff, Seal and Send your invitations for you! This is called the “4S” Service. All of your invitations will be hand-cancelled at the Post Office and will immediately make their way to your guests.

Option #2: I will ship your semi-assembled invitation suites to you. You would then take care of the rest!
